Heartland Presidential Forum
Iowa CCI and Center for Community Change
are hosting the Heartland Presidential Forum at 1:30 pm on December
1 at HyVee Hall in Des Moines. Over two dozen community
organizations are co-sponsoring the event.
The
non-partisan forum will feature candidates from both major political
parties and focus on health care, jobs, immigration, farming and
the environment, housing, and campaign finance reform.
Rather than a traditional debate, each
candidate will come out individually and answer questions about
real issues from real people. This is our opportunity to influence
the 2008 elections!
